‘Born in the heart of the English countryside, raised in cities everywhere’
Brights and Stripes is a clothing brand for kids aged 0-5yrs, founded in 2006. As the founder of the brand, I become increasingly bored with the kidswear available in the shops and by the trend of dressing kids up as mini-adults. So I set about designing my own range of bright, bold, fun, modern easy-care clothes that both kids and their mums would love. We now have over 80 stockists worldwide!
The Brights and Stripes child is described as ‘the one who bowls in, runs around the room a few times and the goes off to play’, making our brand perfect for introducing the world’s first interactive clothing for kids.
Items from our ‘Rainbow’ range can be brought to life, by visiting our main page and interacting with the computers webcam.

Brothers and Sisters (Brights & Stripes advertising agency) has used augmented reality technology to develop and produce ‘The Rainbow Story’. When the child stands in front of their webcam, a 3D animated weather story comes to life and unfolds in time to the child’s movements. So by following the movements, the child can bring out the rain, the sun and then a rainbow. This is the first example of genuinely interactive, augmented reality clothing.
For this new season, we are delighted to be launching our spring/summer collection with many key new styles and prints, A-line dresses, larger size pyjamas, double layered blankets and sleeping bags in 2.5 tog for all year round use. The superior quality of our fabrics, in 95% cotton and 5% lycra is crucial for us and continues to perform in its washability, fit and comfort tests. All of our kids clothes meet with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification which guarantees that our fabrics are free from harmful substances. Our manufacturers also comply with the ‘Wrap’ Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production standard.
For all you clothing connoisseurs, enjoy!
